As a urologist I specialize in the folowing areas: Medical and surgical diseases of the male and female urinary tract and the male genitalia. This includes kidney diseases such as tumors, obstructions, and kidney stones; bladder dysfunction, urinary incontinence, interstitial cystitis, and bladder cancers; disorders of the prostate including benign enlargement, obstruction disorders, and prostate cancer; testicular cancer and scrotal diseases; disorders of the penis and penile cancers; and treatment of erectile dysfunction, sexual disorders, and male infertility. It also includes management of infections of the bladder, kidneys and other urinary organs, and surgery of the urinary tract.

Dr Richard Norman Schlussel, is currently an Assistant Professor in Columbia University the Division of Pediatric Urology. His clinical interest includes all aspects of pediatric urologic disorders, and he also directs the Pediatric Urology basic science research.
