I am a board certified ophthalmologist who has practiced in Los Angeles for over 30 years. During that time I have cared for and performed surgery on thousands of patients with serious eye conditions including glaucoma, retinal disease and cataracts. I have always believed that an educated patient is the best patient and the one most likely to receive the best care. I was among the first in his community to provide patients with detailed written explanations of their ophthalmic conditions. I served as chairman and/or chief of various Los Angeles area hospital departments and committees including surgery, ophthalmology and continuing medical education. I served as an officer with the rank of Senior Assistant Surgeon in the US Public Health Service and is fluent in Spanish. I have an MBA degree and also provide consultation to investors and venture capitalists. I am married and have five children. My hobbies include tennis, reading, travel and bible study. |
