About Me
I am a cardiac electrophysiologist (EP), a physician who treats patients with heart rhythm disturbances (arrhythmias). Patients who would be referred to me typically have complained of palpitations, irregular heart beats, dizziness or fainting spells. They may also be referred because their physicians suspect that they are at high risk for sudden cardiac death. Treatments may include a medications, an ablation to elimanate the arrhythmia, a pacemaker, or a defibrillator. I have a private practice and am also active in research. Our group actively participates in the major national and international EP trials and we publish often. My undergraduate degree is in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, which has helped me enormously in EP - the "electrical engineering" of heart. I am married and have four children and a dog.
